folklore museum

The folklore museum that has been open to the public since 1981, with traditional uniforms, jewelry, agricultural equipment, hand-woven textiles and house tools used by the citizens on their daily basis.

Medieval Church

At the centre of the village, there is the central square with the church of the Sleeping Theotokos.

Holy temple of Agia Anna

At the north side there is the holy temple of Agia Anna with the miraculous picture that the village took its name from.

Pebbled beach

The expansive pebbled beach of the village that turns sandy at the northest part of it (length 4km).

Agios Basilios

The Agios Basilios peninsula north of Agia Anna, along with the chapel of St.Panteleimonas.

TRIVIA

According to the legend, the name Agia Anna (Saint Anne) derives from a miracle related to a picture of Saint Anne. Around the 18th century, the villagers there survived after a pirate attack. After that, they found a picture of Saint Anne led by a woman's vision. Specifically, the village was built in 1776. During the Ottoman occupation of Greece, Agia Anna had been the largest and richest commune of the area, with 60 families residing there.

St. Anna is only 2 hours away from Athens.
For those who come from Athens and North Greece can have access only by car at N.Euboea, after they cross one of the two Eurippus bridges and follow the path Chalkida-Mantoudi-St.Anna.
The itineraries of the ferries, especially during the summer months, are very regular and facilitate the number of Greeks and foreign visitors to the area.
